AI can play a helping hand role in enhancing the development of Open Educational Resources (OER), which can help in generation of multilingual, learning materials. It can support educators in designing interactive simulations, visual explanations, and personalized assessments that help in improving learner engagement and understanding.
However, ethical practices like ensuring transparency in AI-generated content, respecting intellectual property rights, avoiding bias in data and algorithms, and maintaining pedagogical integrity should guide the AI usage (Floridi et al., 2018).

The AI Competency Framework for Teachers by UNESCO defines 15 competencies across five aspects—Human-centred mindset, Ethics of AI, AI foundations, AI pedagogy, and AI for professional development—organized into three progression levels: Acquire, Deepen, and Create.
It aims to empower teachers to use AI ethically and effectively in education while safeguarding human agency and promoting inclusivity.
