Introduction

Sushumna Rao

This curated collection highlights Open Educational Resources (OER) identified by BRAOU faculty and recommended across a range of disciplines. The list mentioned in this book are the results of “Finding OER” exercises” of various workshops conducted by Centre for Online Education & Learning(COEL) of DrBRAOU

The materials in this collection are diverse types including open textbooks, course modules, multimedia content, assessments, and ancillary material that are freely available and openly licensed. Faculty contributors selected these OER based on their relevance to course learning outcomes, and adaptability for diverse instructional contexts. Many of the resources have been adopted / adapted in courses, demonstrating their practical value in real classroom settings.

By showcasing faculty-identified OER, this collection supports innovative teaching practices and encourages collaboration within and beyond the university community. It also serves as a starting point for instructors interested in exploring, adopting, or adapting OER to enhance student engagement and reduce the cost of course materials.

This collection is continuously evolving as faculty discover new resources. Together, these contributions advance the university’s commitment to open education, inclusive learning, and the sharing of knowledge for the public good.
